PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DAN-MAJEN GWANDU

PRESIDENT BOLA AHMAD TINUBU APPOINTS ENGR. AHMED UMAR FAROUK As MD Nigerian Airspace Management Agency( NAMA).

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu approved the appointment of Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk as the substantive Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

Until his appointment to this exalted position of MD NAMA, Engr Ahmed Umar Farouk had served at top management level in various capacities such as Airspace Manager, Minna Airport;Manager, Special Project Unit, Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA); NAMA’s Director of Safety, Electronics Engineering Services (DSEES) of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA)

He was also General Manager, Procurement at NAMA Headquarters in Lagos.

Engr Umar, a 1988 graduate, bagged Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the Federal University (FUT), Minna; Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria; Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Lagos State University.

Engr. Umar is fellow member of many professional bodies such as;

-Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE)

-Fellow Nigerian Mechanical Association of Engineers (FNIMECHE).

- Fellow Chartered Institute of Nigeria(FCIA).

- Member Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (MCOREN); 

- Member Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE); 

-Member Chartered Institute of Administration (MCIA); 

-Member, chartered Institute of Supply and Purchase and Management among others.

 Highly charismatic, brilliant and generous, Engr. Ahmad Umar Farouk is currently the holder of numerous traditional title in Kebbi State such as Dan-Majen Gwandu, Gamjin Kabi, Matawalen Gabas, Wazirin Dalijan among others.
