Wife of the Kebbi State Governor, has re- afairmed her commitment to Patiner with any meaningful organizations towards improving girls child education and the fight against gender based Violence (GBV) in the State.
Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Made the statement while receiving State Executives of Women Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) who paid Advocacy visit to her at her residence in Birnin Kebbi.
Hajiya Zainab commended the activities of the organization and assured them her support ensuring papetraitors of rape are brought to justice.
She equally said the girl child education will be supported through increase of education budget in which appropriation for retention and transition to tertiary institution may be inclusive .
Speaking eliear the Executive Director of WRAPA Kebbi State, Comrade Nasir Idris said the
visit was to brief the wife of the Governor on the activities of Women Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) and AGGE project and also challenges facing GBV in the State.
Comrade Nasir Idris informed her of a project on Accountability for Good Governance in Education AGGE, a project sponsored by Palladium SCALE which is aimed at advocating for increase in Budgetary allocation in Education to at least by 5% annually as well as timely release of counterpart funding and citizen participation framework in SUBEB work plan for sustainability.
in her remarks, the State Project Manager ( WRAPA), Hajiya Hassana Ibrahim, expressed appreciation on the activities carried out by the Wife of the Governor which she said is inline with that of WRAPA, She therefore call for more collaboration with the State Government for effective service delivery.
