The Hon. Commissioner,

Directors and Staff of the Ministry,

Members of the KECHEMA Governing Board,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Assalamu Alaikum.

It is indeed a great honour and privilege to address you this morning on behalf of the Governing Board and Management of KECHEMA. We sincerely appreciate your visit to our head office last week and congratulate you once again on your well-deserved appointment as the Honourable Commissioner for Health. Your decision to make KECHEMA your first point of visit among the agencies under your supervision reflects your commitment to collaboration and progress. We are confident that, under your leadership, and with the capable guidance of our Executive Secretary, Dr. Jafar Augie Mohd, the agency will continue to excel.

I am pleased to inform you that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has approved ₦570 million as equity fund to cover medical expenses for non-formal groups across the 225 political wards of the state—an important step toward achieving universal health

coverage.

We kindly urge your office to encourage lawmakers and political appointees to enroll vulnerable groups from their constituencies under KECHEMA’s non-formal program.
