Grassroots Football in Kebbi Gets Major Boost as NAMA Boss Donates ₦1 Million to Gwandu Warriors

Grassroots football in Kebbi State has received a significant boost following a ₦1 million donation to Gwandu Warriors Football Club by Engr. Ahmed Umar Faruku, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The financial support, presented through Dan Majen Gwandu, is aimed at assisting the club in tackling operational challenges and preparing for upcoming tournaments, notably the National Playoffs set for next month and the prestigious Emirate Cup.

During the presentation, Dan Majen Gwandu praised the Warriors for their resilience and determination to revive the legacy of football in Gwandu Local Government and Kebbi State at large.

The Gwandu Warriors have shown remarkable passion and commitment to the game. This donation is a way of encouraging them to continue their hard work and dedication in making our community proud,” he said.

He urged both players and management to remain steadfast, focused, and united in their pursuit of success, emphasizing the need to restore the pride of football in the region.

In his remarks, the club’s chairman, Faruku Abdullahi, Sarkin Samarin Gwandu, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the team, describing the gesture as a timely morale booster.
