Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu / Gamjin Kabi) Commemorates Democracy Day with Humanitarian Outreach!
In commemoration of Nigeria’s Democracy Day, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu / Gamjin Kabi) sponsored a humanitarian outreach at Kebbi Medical Center, Kalgo on Tuesday, June 11, through the Dan Majen Gwandu Foundation. The initiative aimed to extend compassionate support to vulnerable patients by providing direct financial assistance for the purchase of essential medications.
The outreach was executed by a dedicated team on the ground led by Bilyaminu Haruna, with the support of Kasimu Ibrahim, Yusuf Haruna Chakka, Nafiu Wafee, and other active members of the Foundation. Their coordinated efforts reflect the Foundation’s core belief that democracy must translate into tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary Nigerians—particularly in the areas of healthcare and welfare.
Speaking inline with the occasion, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, who also serves as the Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), expressed his heartfelt solidarity with Nigerians, urging all citizens to uphold the principles of justice, unity, and service to humanity.
He also commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to democratic governance under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which continues to foster economic reform, inclusivity, and institutional renewal across the country.
Engr. Farouk further paid tribute to the Armed Forces and security agencies for their courage and resilience in defending Nigeria’s sovereignty and democratic ideals. He emphasized that their sacrifices remain vital to the peace, security, and unity of the nation.
At the state level, he lauded His Excellency Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), Executive Governor of Kebbi State, for his people-centered approach to leadership. He noted that the Governor’s commitment to improving healthcare access, quality education, and community empowerment continues to bring lasting impact to the grassroots.
Special prayers were offered for the quick recovery of all patients and for continued peace and prosperity in Nigeria. The outreach marks another milestone in the Foundation’s unwavering mission to promote social good, equity, and leadership grounded in empathy and service.
