NAMA MD/CEO Honoured with Prestigious Award by ICAN

On the 15th of April, 2025 In a meeting held at the corporate headquarters of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Abuja. The Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Farouk Umar, was honoured with a distinguished award of recognition by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ikeja District Society.

The award presented, was in recognition of Engr. Umar's outstanding achievements, exemplary performance, and unwavering dedication in supporting operational bodies within NAMA 

Presenting the award on behalf of the ICAN Ikeja District Society, Mrs. Akpan, who served as the focal representative, lauded Engr. Umar’s visionary leadership and commitment to operational excellence in airspace management. She noted that the recognition was a reflection of his continued contributions toward enhancing the Agency. 

The brief but impactful event was attended by the ICAN members. Who all commended the MD/CEO’s efforts in steering NAMA toward greater heights.

Receiving the award, Engr. Umar expressed gratitude to ICAN Ikeja District Society for the honour and reiterated his commitment to transparency, efficiency, and innovation in the management of Nigeria’s airspace.

The recognition marks yet another milestone in Engr. Umar's leadership journey, highlighting the growing impact of his service within and beyond the aviation industry.
