AFTER MERITORIOUS POLITICAL SOJOURN, MALAMI RETURNS TO ACTIVATE PRIVATE PRACTICE..

After more than eight years of meritorious political sojourn during which he served as attorney general of the federation and minister of Justice (from 2015-2023) Dr. Abubakar Malami SAN has returned to active private legal practice at his chamber, Malami SAN & CO.

The legal luminary make his first reappearance at the supreme court on an appeal against the judgement of the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos which affirmed the declaration and return of the Dr. Alex Otti as elected Governor of Abia State.

His eldest son AbdulAziz Abubakar Malami Esq, appeared with him among other senior lawyers

Malami remains committed to the service of the nation and humanity, especially in the area of deepening the nation's judicial system.

Returning to private practice after national assignment is not new among trained lawyers world wide.

Recall, former U.S President, Bill Clinton a trained lawyer, return to private practice after served as President of America for 8 years.

Malami is not the first retired Attorney General and Justice Minister to return to chamber after national assignment, famous former Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi SAN did the same, in several cases he was hired by Buhari's administration to represent federal government at Supreme Court.

Such practice is normally and purely out of passion and interest, thus, one should not mistake it for materials gain.
