Gov.Idris Rains Millions of Naira To Teachers

Unscheduled school visit: Gov. Idris decries poor teachers' attendance

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu on Tuesday paid an unscheduled visit to some schools in Birnin Kebbi in an attempt to see things for himself.

The governor, who visited Government Girls Unity College, Birni Kebbi, expressed dissatisfaction with what he saw at the school.

He lamented the level of attandance of both the teachers and students in the school and urged the teachers to work hard towards taking the college to greater heights.

The governor donated Two Million Naira (N2m) to the teachers of the school.

Gov. Idris, who promised to improve the walfare of teachers, aslo assured the readiness of his administration to construct and re-construct some structure at the school.

The governor also paid a similar visit to Nagari College in Birnin Kebbi where he expressed satisfaction with what he saw and donated Two Million Naira (N2m) to teachers and two cows with 20 bags of rice to the students.
