....AS GOV. IDRIS APPROVES N2BN FOR SCHOOLS RENOVATION

Less than 2 days after awarding the contract worth N9.4billion for total rehabilitation of state capital, Birnin Kebbi, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasiru Idris Kauran Gwandu has on Thursday 27/07/2023 approves the release of over N2bn for the construction and renovation of schools across the 21 local government in Kebbi State in line with his campaign promises of uplifting the standard of education in the State.

Governor Idris recent activities is clear indication that Kebbi State is now under the right leadership against the practice in the last 8 years.

According to the sources, the approves projects to be executed within SIX WEEKS include:

i- construction of 86 new schools

ii- rehabilitation of 224 existing schools

iii- provision of 7,000 chairs, 62 toilets; fencing, hall, ICT centers, boreholes among others.

Fellers from Kebbi Government House confirm to Kebbitrust that this is just a beginning as hundreds of legacy projects are line up and will be released one beside the other in due course.

This means Kebbians should expect a good news on weekly basis especially when the new commissioners get portfolio in the coming days.
