 BREAKING: President Buhari Appoints Hon. Halima Yauri, Others.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday 16/02/2023 appointed Aisha Ahmed, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Hon. Halima Hassan Tukur Yauri among others, as members of HIGH-LEVEL ADVISORY COUNCIL (HLAC) To Support 3 Ambitious women empowerment programme:

1- Women Economic Empowerment (WEE)

2- Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning  and Empowerment ( AGILE)

3- Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up (NEWP-SU).

The appointment was with immediate effect.

Billions of Naira was earmarked by Federal Government, World Bank and other development partners for the success of these Programmes, hence the need of steering committee of intellectual women to ensure the success of the programmes.

Speaking at accession, the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Pauline Tallen  urge the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) aimed at empowerment of women into different skills, trades and profession to meet their potentialities an area Hon. Halima Hassan Yauri specialized.

Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) aimed at sending out of school girls back to school and also reinforce the drop out back to school all as a strategy to promote girl child education.

Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up (NEWP-SU) too aimed at providing seeds money along skills to women to make them financially independent.

The appointee, Hon. Halima Hassan is currently sponsoring the training of many girls and women under Malami Women Support Initiative (MAWOSI) an NGO established by Hon. Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
