KEBBI -PDP Crisis Deepens As Tanimu Bombs Aleiro

"Our position NOW is that we are WITHDRAWING from further reconciliation meeting with other PDP group in Kebbi State
.......and we DON'T CARE What the remote and immediate consequences of these multifaceted actions will be on anybody or group of persons"
Says, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, in a letter to Gen. Bamaiyi and other PDP National leaders including the presidential candidate, Atiku Wazirin Adamawa.

Below is the comprehensive protesting letter written by Dan Masanin Gwandu:

Gen Ishaya R. Bamaiyi, GCON
Chairman
Kebbi PDP Elders Caucus
Abuja.

Ranka ya dade,

KEBBI PDP RECONCILIATION MOVES.

The above subject refers Sir.

You may recall that at the instance of Distinguished Senator Mohammed Adamu Aleiru and other concerned PDP stakeholders from Kebbi, you summoned a meeting of the leaders of the party across board, to discuss issues militating against the unity of the party in the state, and to discuss ways forward for total, honest, faithful and unbiased solution to these multifaceted, and deliberate efforts, moves and steps that are aimed at dividing the party, sowing the seeds of discord and acrimony and further overstretching the seeming elastic peace and harmony that exist amongst and between us.

You may recall sir, that at that meeting, complaints were made about some 'leaders' of the party who were engaged in the habit of surreptitiously suspending people, including members of the executive at different tiers, removing such persons from their elected positions or even blocking and preventing them from attending and participating in meetings of organs of the party, or even deliberate refusal and/or failure to invite statutory members to attend duly convened meetings of party organs that they belong to.

You may also recall sir, that at that meeting, specific examples and cases of these unfortunate and illegal and unconstitutional happenings were given, and the names of the persons behind them.

After exhaustive discussions, the meeting resolved that these unfortunate state of events MUST be halted immediately. In addition, the meeting agreed that all those either unlawfully suspended or removed from office SHOULD be restored immediately, to show good faith, which will facilitate the  just and fair resolution of the crisis.

You may recall also sir, that at that meeting, Senator Aliero expressed shock that some of these unfortunate events were happening in Kebbi Central, and promised to sort out all the cases and incidences that have occurred in his constituency.
It was on record also, that the Gubernatorial Candidate, Gen.  Aminu Bande, at whose instance these multiple acts of malfeasance and Constitutional breaches were said to have been committed, promised that he will take steps to ensure that all the matters complained of were sorted out within 24 hours.

It's important that I inform you sir, that since that meeting and the resolutions taken at the same, we have taken the pains to inform our own people of the conclusions of the meeting, and enjoined them to get prepared of their full and unconditional involvement and participation in the affairs of the party.

It is also noteworthy to inform you, Mr Chairman sir, that since that meeting, I've had cause to discuss with most of the leaders who attended the meeting, with a view to taking the peace and settlement processes further. Infact on boxing day, I visited the house of Distinguished Senator Aleiru for this same reason, and we had what I thought was a fruitful discussion.

Now this afternoon, my attention was drawn to a supposed criminal case filed by a private legal practitioner by direct complaint, on behalf of our party, PDP and some members of the axco, against Malam Haruna Saidu, the PDP  Senatorial Candidate  for Kebbi Central Senatorial District , for alleged forgery, cheating etc etc.

I can not remember any time a meeting of the party was held , and a decision was taken to appoint a private legal practitioner , or grant him a fiat to file criminal case(s) for serious allegations of felony allegedly committed by a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Party, as if PDP is now Attorney General of Kebbi State or the Federation that grants fiat to people.

We are not worried about this useless, ill advised, illegal, uninformed, baseless and foolish contraption that some illiterates are taking, because it certainly will NEVER see the light of the day.

But the essence of this lengthy message to you sir, is to bring to your knowledge and attention that the failure of Senator Aleiru and Gen Aminu Bande to fulfil the respective pledges they made at the meeting, coupled with the institution of this criminal case by direct complaint against Malam Haruna, a Senatorial Candidate and Member of the Board of Trustees of our party,  shows clearly that there was no good faith on their part at imploring you to convene the reconciliatory meeting in the first place.

This is not even adding the message the State Chairman , Usman Bello Suru sent to the Chairman of Koko/Besse LGA that was purportedly suspended, and whose matter was deliberated at the  meeting, that he will be restored back in office only if  he accept to cut off all political links with us. Of course he  flatly rejected this condition.

In the present circumstances, our group has come to the painful and unfortunate realisation that we are just being fooled and taken for granted. While we are doing everything to make these efforts to work, some people are trying to stab us in the chest in broad daylight.

The implication of all this is that the fears and concerns raised by majority of stakeholders at that meeting was and still is real,
 potent and not unfounded.

Our position NOW is that we are withdrawing from further reconciliation meeting with the other PDP group in Kebbi State.

And we are HEREBY GIVING NOTICE that we shall be taking all and every moves, steps and actions that we consider plausible and necessary to protect our rights and interests, together with that of our teeming followers and members in Kebbi State, and we DON'T CARE what the remote and immediate consequences of these multifaceted actions will be on anybody or group of persons.

We have been taken advantage of in the past. But we are now very vigilant  !

And please note sir, that am forwarding a copy of this rather lengthy message to the following persons for their information.
