Legacy Project in Gwandu Town: Danmajen Gwandu Commends Gov. Idris
Kebbi Infrastructure Drive: NAMA MD Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar Attends Gwandu Township Road Flag-Off
Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, FNSE, FCIA, MCOREN, NPOM (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), attended the commissioning and flag-off ceremony of the Gwandu Township Road project initiated by the administration of Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.
The road project, when completed, is expected to modernize Gwandu town and improve the architectural outlook and transportation network of the local government area.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chairman of Gwandu Local Government Area, Hon. Atiku Mandiya Kalcha, as well as other notable political figures from across Kebbi State.
Also present among the notable figures of the Kauran Gwandu administration was the Kebbi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Farouk Muslim (Majikiran Gwandu), who is also a brother to the NAMA Managing Director. As Commissioner for Works, he has been playing a significant role in advising and supporting the state government in the implementation of key infrastructure projects aimed at accelerating development across Kebbi State.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar commended the administration of Kauran Gwandu, describing it as one of the most impactful administrations in the state in recent years. He noted that within just two to three years, the government has transformed Kebbi State, placing it among the leading states in the North-West in terms of infrastructure development.
He further observed that many developmental projects are currently ongoing across the state, with several expected to be completed and commissioned during the third anniversary of the administration.
Residents of Gwandu Local Government Area also described the project as timely and highly welcomed, noting that the road will significantly improve transportation within the area and make movement easier for residents and businesses.
They also commended the Kauran Gwandu administration for initiating projects that directly improve the lives of the people and contribute to the development of the state.
