Danmajen Gwandu Aligns with Tinubu’s Vision, Backs Gov. Nasir Idris’ Development Agenda in Kebbi

Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, FNSE, FCIA, MCOREN, NPOM (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), on Thursday departed Abuja for Kebbi State to spend the Easter holiday with his community.

Upon his arrival, his residence quickly became a gathering point for well-wishers, supporters, and community members who trooped in large numbers to welcome him. Residents say such visits have become customary, as many people often take the opportunity to meet him whenever he returns home, knowing his presence usually brings encouragement and support to many.

During this visit, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar has consistently aligned his personal initiatives with efforts aimed at supporting and complementing government policies and social intervention programmes. In particular, he has shown strong support for the Renewed Hope Initiative championed by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while also identifying with the progressive development agenda of the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu.

Whenever Engr. Farouk visits Kebbi State, his presence is often felt beyond official engagements. Known for his quiet acts of generosity and compassion, he rarely leaves the state without making a meaningful impact in the lives of ordinary people. Through various forms of support, encouragement, and humanitarian gestures, he has continued to touch many lives, bringing relief and renewed hope to families and communities.

Observers also note that although Engr. Farouk currently serves as a politically appointed Managing Director, he has not publicly declared interest in contesting for any political office. However, some members of the community have begun calling on Governor Nasir Idris to consider giving him an opportunity to serve in an elective capacity in the future. They argue that individuals of his calibre, known for generosity and commitment to community development, deserve the chance to contribute more broadly to public service.

Others have also expressed confidence in the relationship between Engr. Farouk and the Kebbi State leadership, describing him as a dependable ally who consistently supports and complements government efforts while promoting ideals of progress and continuity.

Many residents further expressed optimism about the future of the state, maintaining that the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the national level and Governor Nasir Idris in Kebbi represents a path toward sustained development. According to them, the state has continued to record progress in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and human capital development under the current administration.

They believe that with continued support for these leadership efforts, Kebbi State will keep reaping the dividends of democratic governance in the years ahead.
