NAMA Boss Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar Wins Aviation Executive Technical Leadership Award at NIGAV 2026

Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), has been awarded the Aviation Executive Technical Leadership Award at the 15th Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Awards held on April 17, 2026, in Lagos.

The award, presented during the Ministerial Dinner at the NIGAV Centre, recognises excellence and outstanding contributions to the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s aviation sector.

Reacting to the honour, Engr. Farouk described the award as a reflection of the collective efforts of NAMA staff, commending their resilience, dedication, and professionalism.

He noted that the achievements recorded under his leadership would not have been possible without their unwavering support, stressing that they remain the backbone of the agency’s success.
