MD NAMA Attends First Nigeria's International Airshow

MD NAMA, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, Accompanied Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo to a Meeting with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Nigeria’s First International Airshow

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu, Gamjin Kabi), accompanied the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, to a meeting with the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, in Abuja.

The delegation, which included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni, and other senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, met with the FCT Minister to seek his support for the first-ever Nigerian International Airshow, scheduled to take place on December 1st, 2025.

The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, and foresight in repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector for global relevance. His hands-on approach, reform-driven policies, and consistent engagement with stakeholders have renewed confidence within the sector and attracted international attention to Nigeria’s growing aviation potential.

In the history of Nigeria’s aviation industry, there has scarcely been a Minister as proactive, results-oriented, and committed to sustainable transformation as Keyamo—qualities that are already driving measurable progress across the industry.

The Honourable Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, commended the Aviation Ministry’s initiative and pledged the full cooperation of the FCT Administration in ensuring the success of the forthcoming Airshow. He expressed readiness to provide the necessary support and infrastructure to make the event a landmark achievement for the nation.

The Nigerian International Airshow will bring together aviation leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts from around the world at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, for a three-day experience designed to showcase cutting-edge technology, promote strategic partnerships, and shape the future of flight in Africa.
