GOV. IDRIS's NATURE OF SPENDING STATE RESOURCES:

 Commendable Or Condemnable?;

Having listened attentively  to both side of the 'nay' and 'yea' sayers of the expenditure style of Kebbi State Governor His Excellency Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) I found it very imperative to express my view as challenged by many readers of my blog; Kebbi -Trust Newspaper.

Many people called and expressed their concerns over my long silence on the scheme of things in Kebbi State especially the way and manner the Executive Governor of Kebbi State is spending the state resources; some see it as commendable spending while others interpret it as Condemnable, then ask me how do I see it?

WHO IS DR. NASIR IDRIS (KAURAN GWANDU)?

To be fair in responding to this kind issue, one need to first and foremost glimpse into brief  profile of person concerned to know his exact natural nature while in control of his personal resource, before accessing control of the state resources, then compare and contrast. Thus;

    1- Was Kauran Gwandu a generous or a stingy person before he became a Governor?

   2-  Before access the control of the state resources does he used to spend his hard earned personal resources the way he is spending Kebbi resources?

   3- Is he performing in terms of legacy or capital projects?

  4-  Where Kebbi State resources should be spent?

     -My background check revealed that Kauran Gwandu was naturally created GENEROUS, it was his generousity that make him very popular in the state even before he ventured into politics. As one popular Hausa proverbs goes 'mai hali baya barin halin sa' therefore, no one should deceive himself by thinking that Kauran Gwandu can sit idly  by watching money laying redundantly in safe while people are earnestly in need of such money.

   - On the question weather Kauran Gwandu used to spent his personal resource the way he is spending Kebbi resource; the answer is capital YES, as explained above Kauran Gwandu is a generous person and a philanthropist; therefore with addition of state resources under his control anyone thinking of Kauran Gwandu to metamorphose from being generous to a stingy need to be advised to calm down and have a rethink.

     - On the issues of performance: does such sharing of money to people stop him from executing capital projects?; within a year Kauran Gwandu was able to transform the state capital Birnin Kebbi into a modern city, he also extended such legacy projects to other part of the state such as Yauri , Ngaski and host of others. Since the creation of Kebbi State in 1991 no Governor in the history of the State achieved in his first year in office what Kauran Gwandu has achieved in one  year in office. With advent of technology, those condemning Kaura's leadership style are perhaps living in Jupiter or in a moon but all those living on Earth particularly in Kebbi State welcome Kaura's nature of spending.

   -Where Kebbi resources should be spend?; this is very important question, because in the past Kebbi resources used to be spent in Abuja and Lagos State, in fact sometimes as far as Dubai. Today Kebbi has a Governor spending Kebbi resource in Kebbi State and on its people. If not in Kebbi and its people for God sake, where do Kaura's critics want him to spend Kebbi's resources?

     As a reader the ball now is at your court; from the foregoing is His Excellency Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu's nature of spending CONDEMNABLE Or COMMENDABLE?
