Engr. Ahmad Umar Farouk Donates ₦19 Million to APC Leaders in Kebbi Central for Sallah Rams

As part of preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations, renowned philanthropist and political figure, Engr. Ahmad Umar Farouk (Dan-Majen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), has donated ₦19 million to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi Central Senatorial District.
The donation, made in honor of His Excellency, Governor Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), is intended for the purchase of rams for distribution during the Sallah festivities. Beneficiaries include APC party executives across eight local government areas as well as the zonal party office.

According to the distribution breakdown:

Birnin Kebbi Local Government APC leadership received ₦2.5 million

The Kebbi Central Zonal Office was also allocated ₦2.5 million
APC executives in Kalgo, Bunza, Jega, Maiyama, Koko, Aliero, and Gwandu Local Government Areas received ₦2 million each, totaling ₦14 million

The disbursement ceremony was held at the APC Zonal Office in Birnin Kebbi and was presided over by Alhaji Umaru Buro, a prominent political leader in the state. The funds were officially handed over to the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Matawallen Bunza.

The donation is seen as part of Engr. Farouk’s ongoing commitment to party cohesion and grassroots empowerment, especially during festive seasons. APC stakeholders in attendance expressed profound appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

“This kind of support not only strengthens the party structure but also fosters unity among members during periods of religious celebration,” a party elder remarked at the event.
