Dan'Majen Gwandu Commends Gov. Idris’s Efforts in Food Security and Ramadan Support

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk, FNSE, MCOREN, NPOM (Danmajen Gwandu, Gamjin Kabi), has commended the Kebbi State Government for its proactive steps in boosting food production and ensuring food security. He lauded the launch of the 2025 Dry Season Farming Initiative and Ramadan Palliatives Distribution Program, highlighting it as a significant move toward agricultural sustainability and social welfare.

The initiative includes the provision of 10,000 solar-powered water pumps, 10,000 gasoline-powered water pumps, 3,000 LPG-powered water pumps, 3,000 power tillers, and 10,000 knapsack sprayers to support local farmers. Additionally, thousands of liters of herbicides, pesticides, organic fertilizers, improved rice seeds, and assorted fertilizers will be distributed to enhance agricultural productivity.

Furthermore, the Ramadan palliatives program aims to provide essential support to various segments of society, including civil servants, teachers, local government staff, and vulnerable communities. Engr. Farouk emphasized that such initiatives reflect the government's unwavering commitment to improving livelihoods and fostering economic stability.

He expressed deep appreciation for the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, and the National Council on Agriculture in making this initiative possible. According to him, collaborative efforts like this will contribute significantly to food sufficiency, economic growth, and national development.

Engr. Farouk called on all stakeholders to actively participate and support the initiative to ensure its success. "Together, we can achieve greater progress in agriculture and community welfare," he stated.
