Gov. Nasir Commended for Developmental Projects in Yauri Emirate
Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu of Kebbi State has been commended for his numerous development projects in Yauri Emirate. The projects include construction of Yauri and Ngaski township roads, constructions and rehabilitations of over 300 schools in the emirate, as well as providing fertilizers to farmers, ensuring security.
The Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the National Organizing Committee, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri, made the commendation at the finale events of the 2025 Rigata Cultural Festival in Yauri town on Saturday. He also commended the governor for sponsoring the festival.
Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri expressed his gratitude to participants at the Rigata Cultural Festival. According to him, the festival marked a significant milestone in celebrating and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Kebbi State, showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of the state's culture.
The chairman of the national organizing committee noted that the festival was more than just a celebration of culture; it was a testament to the nation's commitment to preserving its heritage. Over the course of the festival, attendees witnessed breathtaking performances, savored local cuisine, and marveled at exquisite craftsmanship.
The chairman extended his gratitude to sponsors, partners, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the festival a reality, acknowledging their invaluable contributions.
He said the Rigata Cultural Festival is a celebration of the state's rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional attire, music, and performances that showcase the resilience, creativity, and community of the people of Kebbi State.
