Kebbi State First Lady Zainab And Her Counterpart  Visits New York City SARC, To Enhance Support For Assault Survivors.

Kebbi State first lady Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris  alongside other spouses of Nigerian governors have recently concluded an enlightening visit to the Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) under the New York City Mayor's Office in Manhattan. This visit was  inspiring, as they engaged in crucial discussions on supporting survivors of sexual assault across various states in Nigeria.

During their meetings with the mayor's team, they examined strategies to enhance the services of existing centers within their communities. A strong emphasis was placed on improving resources, training, and outreach to better assist those in need.

While identifying the potential for partnerships with major development donors to bolster their initiatives, they noted that  Collaborations  is vital, they therefore resolved to explore  these opportunities further.

Hajia Zainab  Nasir said the tour of the Manhattan Family Justice Center was especially impactful, highlighting best practices and innovative approaches that can be adapted for implementation back home in KebbI state Nigeria.

She expressed gratitude for the insights gained during this visit and looks forward to applying these lessons to initiatives in KebbI State.

 The wife of the Kebbi state governor Hajia Zainab Nasir Idris is currently in  the United States of America attending the 79TH Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
