KEBBI STATE FORUM OF RITIRED NUT OFFICIALS, PRINCIPALS, LGEA DIRECTORS AND EDUCATION SECRETARIES PASSED A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON HIS EXCELLENCY COMR. DR. NASIR IDRIS KAURAN GWANDU. 

The Kebbi State Governor H.E Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu this Sunday received in a courtesy call at Government House B/Kebbi the forum of retired NUT officials & retired stakeholders in Education under the leadership of Alh. Abubakar Bala Gado Kamba Chairman Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA).

This was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman of the forum who described their coming as thank you visit and collective decision to pass a vote of confidence on the Governor after accessing the level of achievements recorded within just one year in office. 

The forum equally, commended the Governor for his tremendous commitment in building vocational schools across the 4 Emirates and renovation of existing primary and secondary schools in Kebbi State.

However, the forum went ahead to support the Government initiative in the on going recruitment of 20000 teachers to fill in the existing vacancies in secondary schools. 

The Chairman further thanked the Governor for appointing some of them as His Special Advisers, SSA's Board Chairperson and members. 

They also noted the medical assistance he gave to the patron of the forum Alh. Salihu KC Argungu. 

The forum has further promised the Governor their total support in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election slated for 31 August 2024.

While responding, the Governor acknowledged the warmed support and encouragement accorded him by leadership of the forum. The Governor assured members of the forum that his administration will continue to add value  in infrastructural development in all sectors of the economy. 

In addition, the Governor supported the forum with  1 trailer of faterlizer and cash donation of 15 million Naira to be disbursed as follows: 

1. N 5,000 000 .00  for families of late NUT officials.

2. N 10, 000 000 for the forum.

Similarly, the Governor also paid additional 3million to bail out the son of one of the members of the forum who was in detention for owing 3million to his business associate.

And also approved the appointment of 21 Local Government coordinators of the forum as  his Special Assistants 

Also in attendance was the Grand patron of the forum Alh. Abubakar Sahabi Lolo. Kebbi North APC Zonal Chairman and Sarkin Yakin Lolo
