Wife of Kebbi Govnor Flags off Skill aquisition Training program In Jega.

Wife of Kebbi state governor Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris has affirmed the commitment of the incumbent administration of her husband to sustain empowerment programs towards uplifting the
socioeconomic well being of the people of the state.
Hajia Nasare Stated this Saturday at the opening of an office for NASARA FOUNDATION in Jega which will also serve as skill aquisition center.
The wife of the governor explained that both males and females registered as beneficiaries would receive training at the center on five different aquisition skills These are: tailoring, make-up, computer training, shoe making and catering.
aimed at making them self reliant on graduation with steady income.
She cautioned those registerd for the training program to be serious about the exercise, warning that those who might filled forms for the skills aquisition program but reluctant to attend training sessions would not enjoy the benefits of graduation.
Hajia Zainab pointed out that all trainees must attain at least 70 %. attendance before they could be allowed to graduate and provided with skills aquisition materials.
The wife of the governor also requested the Traditional Ruler of Jega,the Sarkin Kabin Jega, to embark on an enlightenment awareness campaign for all those registerd for the program to attend the training exercise to the fullest without truancy.
Hajia Nasare said in addition to the skill aquisition program, financial assistance would be provided to 400 women engaged in petty trade to boost their business and enable them secure capital of their own without reliance on other people.
Such beneficiaries include women
fying bean cake ( kosai), Soya Beans cake (kwai -da-kwai), pan cake and sellers of local spaghetti (taliya).
The wife of the governor commended the Special Adviser on Commerce Alhaji Nasiru Dan Musa who provided the office building for the NASARA foundation headquarters in Jega and his support to the skill aquisition empowerment program.
Before the the commissioning of the office complex, Hajia Nasare paid homage to the palace of the Sarki Kabin Jega, Alhaji Muhammad Arzika Bawa to seek for his Royal blessings .
She informed the monarch about the concept and implementation of the skill aquisition program, saying that Jega has been selected as the first beneficiary of the scheme which would be extended to all the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State.
Hajia Nasare added that the Nasara foundation has earlier launched the training program for all indigenes of the state in Birnin Kebbi few months ago during which beneficiaries received skill aquisition materials provided to them free after receiving the requisite training .
The wife of the governor tasked the traditional ruler to use his influence to mobilize wealthy individuals to be active participants in the scheme to complement the efforts of the government.
In his response, the Sarkin Kabin Jega Alhaji Muhammad Arzika Bawa thanked Hajia Nasare for her benevolence to the people and choosing Jega as the starting point for the Skill aquisition empowerment program for local government areas.
Ahaji Arzika Bawa was also full of praises for the state governor, Comrade, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu for evolving the best policy on human development and empowerment with optimum positive Impact.
He informed his guest that the donor of the office building , (Dan Amanar Jega ) Alhaji Nasiru Dan Musa has earlier informed him about the empowerment scheme which received his blessings.
The Sarkin Kabin aJega vowed to sustain prayers for the success of the Kauran Gwandu-led administration as well as mobilise wealthy personalities to offer the necessary contribution and encourage those registered to attend the training session in full.
Among important government functionaries on the entourage of the wife of the governor were the Commissioners for Works and Transport, Hon. Engineer, AbdULLAHI Umar Faruq Muslim, Basic Education, Dr. Halima Muhammad Bande, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Alhaji Hayatu Bawa Jega, Dan Iyan Jega, Humanitarian Affairs and Empowerment, Alhaji Muhammad Hamidu Jar Kuka, the Majority Leader, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Faruq Aliyu, the Special Adviser on Power and Polical Affairs, Alhaji Kabir Sani Giant, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Hajiya Fati Udu, the Chairman, Jega Local Government, Alhaji Murtala Musa Habibi Jega as well as wives of commissioners including the Head of Service and members of the state assembly.
