NSIP: KEBBI TAKES FIRST POSITION AMONG 19 NORTHERN STATES

New Npower Programme Evaluation Survey: Kebbi State Team Takes First Position Among 19 Northern States Including FCT, Abuja

In line with the decision of Federal Government under the administration of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to scrutinized the inherited National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) consisted of Npower, GEEP, CCT, NHGSFP and decide next line of action, resolved to carry out evaluation survey nation wide.

To achieve this objective, Nigeria was divided into two; Northern and Southern part but with a single methodology.

In Northern Nigeria a consultant firm YUBADO Consultant was hired to find out the relevancy, success, challenge and further suggestions about the NSIP so that the short comings can be identified and eliminated.

In Kebbi State YUBADO Consultant, engaged the service of progressive, hardworking and talented youths in the person of Usman Aliyu and Kabiru Alhaji Ibrahim Masama to cover Kebbi State.

On their part Usman Aliyu and Kabiru Masama mobilize other 13 dedicated graduates of Kebbi State origins including Ahmad Umar, publisher Kebbi-Trust Newspaper to assist them on this National assignment.

After a brief training, Kebbi team waste no time and hit the ground running.

Right from day one of the exercise Kebbi State team return best among the 19 Northern States and maintain the lead till end of the exercise on Friday 25/10/2023.

During the period, Kebbi team was able to capture a total of 1,053 data followed by Adamawa State with 800 data, Jigawa State became 3rd with 769 data.

After scrutinizing the data captured still Kebbi State maintain the tempo with 606 successful data follow by Kaduna State with 186 and then Adamawa State with 178 successful data.

It is expected that Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management And Social Development would Judiciously utilized the finding of this research to launch a more bifitting National Social Investment Programme for the benefits of all ordinary Nigerians.
