THE GIANT STRIDE OF HIGH LEVEL WOMEN ADVOCATES (HILWA) UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF HAJIYA NANA ASMA'U ALKALI

High Level Women Advocates (HILWA) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established with aimed at increasing participation of women in the education, political and economic decision making.

HILWA's operating headquarters is located at No.33 Patrick Aziza Road, Gesse Phase 1, Birnin Kebbi under the leadership of renowned women right activist HAJIYA NANA ASMA'U ALKALI.

HILWA has so far recorded a tremendous achievements especially in the area of enlightenment which led to the increase of girls access to both primary and secondary education in nooks and corners of Kebbi State.

 HILWA'S BRIEF PROGRESSIVE REPORT UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF HAJIYA NANA ASMA'U ALKALI

HILWA has so far recorded a tremendous achievements especially in the area of enlightenment which led to the increase of girls access to both primary and secondary education across the State:

- As sign of seriousness HILWA commences it's activities with solicitation of the blessings of Their Royal Highness by paying an advocacy visit to all four Emirs and seek their support in promoting girl child education.

- HILWA has prove to be higher level association as it recognized the important of backing laws to ease achieve their objective, hence their decision to visit both the State House of Assembly and State Executive Council and seek their harmonious working relationship for re- enactment of laws supporting and forcing girls child education

- HILWA Purchased and distributed School uniform to more than 20,000 girls across the State

-HILWA purchase and distributed School bags, sandals, exercise books and other writing materials to 23,400 girls across Kebbi State.

-HILWA composed enlightened audio and video jingles about the benefits of girls child education and aired in numerous Radio and TV stations in the State.

This kind gesture of HILWA help immensely in reducing the number of out of school girl child.

Reacting to this success story, the chairperson of HILWA and former Executive Secretary, Kebbi State, Secondary School Management Board and also wife to the Secretary to Kebbi State Government, Hajiya Nana Asma'u Alkali said all the success story of HILWA So far is just a beginning, she added that HILWA will do anything humanly possible to ensure all girl child in Kebbi State are mobilized to school.

Asma'u Alkali said HILWA will soon release its projections and pursue it rigorously till illiteracy among girls in Kebbi State are throughly eliminated.

She also call on all State Government's Ministries, Departments and Agencies to give women all what belongs to women accordingly without any form of marginalization as women are world wide recognized as intelligent, honest and dedicated to any assignments reposed on them.
