*KEBBI* *2023* *POLITICAL* *PERMUTATION* : THE SIN/ SHORTCOMINGS OF ABUBAKAR CHIKA MALAMI.

Part 3

I received numerous comments and observations from part 2 of my article series. Few of the observations were:

1-  I was informed by a reliable source that Kauran Gwandu relocated from Bagudu's camp to Aleiro's camp. I wish him best of luck.

2- I was also informed that Wamban Koko is 100% Gov. Bagudu's loyalist against my judgement of connecting him with Aleiro's camp. Noted.

3- My attention was also drawn that SEN. BALA IBN NA'ALLAH also has a Governorship ambition. (The emergence of Abubakar Kana Zuru as Kebbi State Chairman of APC is a gigantic obstacle to Sen. Ibn Na'Allah and all aspirants from southern zone. The MISTAKE OF THE PAST should never be repeated)

4-Many people from Yauri disagree with me on the popularity of Fagacin Yauri; they opined that Malami and Fagaci are neck and neck (50-50) in popularity from Yauri Emirate. That's politics.

A popurlar Hausa proverb says; 'Mutum Tara Yake Bai Cika Goma ba'.  meaning; No mortal is perfect'. I totally agree with this assertion and Malami is not different being him a human being.

Expectedly, numerous  readers of my article series "from the other camps" queried me for shielding what they tagged sins or shortcomings of Abubakar Chika Malami: that in all my publications I pay emphasis to positive side of the Malami's story and deliberately ignoring the negatives side.

Astonishingly, Malami's critics agreed and failed to disprove single items mentioned as his reference points in part 2 of my article series;

 -they have all agreed Malami facilitated the appointments of many Kebbi State indigenes to head many Federal Government Agencies;

 -they have no objections to the fact that Malami facilitatesthe engagement of many Kebbi youths into various Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies;

-they have all submitted to the fact that Malami facilitates the grant of soft loan to hundreds of Kebbi idigines; 

-they have all accepted to the facts that Malami employed many youths into his various commercial businesses

-they have all applauded malami's contributions in repatriation of stolen billions of dollars and Naira back to Nigeria;

 -they have all attests to the humanitarian activities of Khadimiyya and it's sisters NGOs;

-they have no question to the fact that Malami assisted many Kebbi State indigenes to secure multi-millions contracts at various Federal Government Ministries;

Their only reservation is that Malami is not a saint thus must have a sin and I must publish it.

As such I seek their indulgence to feel free and tell me vividly the shortcomings or sins of the MInister and I promised to publish it so that he can ammend and adjust, this necessited the title and publication of this article.

The numerous feedbacks from these critics can APPROPRIATELY, COMPREHENSIVELY And ACCURATELY  be summarized into two:

1- FREE-MONEY; that Malami is not taking to the street to thraw free-money to people (like yahoo boy).

2- FAVOURITISM; that the selection of beneficiaries for Khadimiyya's support is lopsided

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM is my second area of specialization apart from POLITICAL COMMUNICATION. Below are my findings upon through investigation of the above allegations against the MInister.

 

1- FREE- MONEY

'Koya wa mutun yadda ake kama kifi yafi abashi kifin', a prominent Hausa proverb which 

 literally means' To teach someone how to fish is preferable to giving him the fish'. 

I guess this is the believe and the philosophy of Hon. MInister. 

I am disappointed in people who believe in MONEY-FOR-VOTE Politics. This is The genesis of ours backwardness, how can you collect money From a politician in exchange of vote and expect him to perform; or develop  your state?; you must be a 'mumu' of the millennium.

We all praises Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state, but we failed to learn his journey to Government House. 

We criticize some Governors for non performance because we failed to learn anything about their journey to Government House.

Gov. Babagana Zulum gave no one FREE-MONEY to become a Governor, as result the people of Borno State are now enjoying their wise sacrifice.

 Most of non performing governors gave free- money in exchange of vote, their people are reaping what they saw, yet we could not take a lesson still insist on FREE-MONEY Politics.

Besides that; looking into the activities of the following NGOs:

1-Khadimiyya for Justice and Developement Initiative

2-Khadi Malami Foundation

3- Aisha Abubakar Malami Center for Women Development

4- Al-Iman Charity Foundation 

5- Malami Drum-Beats

6-Malami Pressure Group among others.

 All the humanitarian services rendered by these NGOs are SINGLE HANDLEDLY SPONSORED By MInister Chika Malami, for God sake how can you called this man a stingy?. 

For instance, take ONE out of HUNDREDS humanitarian projects executed by Khadimiyya; it drill boreholes  to 240 communities in nooks and crannies of Kebbi state, how many millions of naira a single boreholes cost?, (times 240). Yet you call a brain behind this a stingy.

Secondly, the MInister invested heavily in dear Kebbi State; he established Rayhan Academy (now one of  the best private school in Kebbi), he established AZBIR multi-purpose arena, he established Rayhan Radio FM, Rayhan printing press, Rice Mill on the pipeline, all were deliberately established by the MInister PURPOSELY TO CREAT JOBS among the people; right now hundreds of people are earning their means of survival from these investment.

 Must the MInister ridicule himself go about market and quee people or walk house-by-house sharing money like yahoo boy before he can be rated generous?.

2-FAVOURITISM: alleged lopsideness in selecting beneficiaries.

The second sin levelled against the MInister is lopsideded attitude in the selection of beneficiaries for support in Khadimiyya and  other NGOs under his custody as well as those he  engaged directly in favour of one zone or emirate.

As a person highly experienced in Federal Character formula, I requested those making this allegations to furnish me with the list of those beneficiaries so that I can verify and substantiate their claims, I am shocked to learnt that non of them ever seen the list, the source of their information are mere hear say. All efforts to get the said list for verification probe abortive. For God sake how can one alleged lopsided attitude without documented evidences?

Candidly speaking, even if such lopsidedness exist, the MInister should not be blame, it can't be possible for him to suspend his office complicated tight schedule and come down to compile or coordinate the activities of these NGOs.

 As such the management of Khadimiyya and other NGOs under the custody of the MInister need to go through the list of their beneficiaries, any local government, zone or emirate with the highest number of beneficiaries should be temporary set aside and pay attention to local governments, zones or emirates with less number of beneficiaries. By so doing the complain of marginalization 'if- any' will be put to rest.

Likewise, the MInister himself should look at the list of those he directly assisted or about to assist to reflect KEBBI CHARACTER PRINCIPLE.😃

To avoid been seen as a paid writer or hired PR agent, I want at this juncture make the following declaration in HAUSA for more clarification:

1-Na rantse da Allah ban taba ganin MInister Abubakar Chika Malami ba a zahiri, ido-da-ido, sai dai a TV da sauran kafafen yada labarai.(Ban san abinda gaba zata haifar ba; na fadi hakane domin nasan halin yan social media, abu na iya faruwa yau amma sai sununa yafi shekara da faruwa).

2-Wallahi bana cikin wayanda suka anfana da tallafin Khadimiyya da takwarorinta ko kai tsaye daga Minister.

3-Wallahi ba wanda ya sani wannan rubuce-rubuce, ina more damar da dimokaradiya da kundin tsarin mulkin Najeriya suka bani ne kawai.

Thus, my friends sending their bank account number to me for their share should please take note and behave matured.

Finally, my dear good people of Kebbi State it is high time for us to vote obsoletely base on merit, performance, outstanding reference points and convinced blue-print and stamped out FREE- MONEY sharing politics. We can only have the likes of Babagana Zulum in Kebbi State if we vote on merit without any FREE-MONEY Consideration.
