In a strategic push to reposition Nigeria’s aviation sector, the Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, FNSE, FCIA, MCOREN, NPOM (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), alongside his management team, is currently in Germany advancing critical efforts to upgrade the nation’s airspace infrastructure to global standards.

Today, the delegation conducted a high-level inspection of newly manufactured communication equipment at a modern factory facility. The exercise focused on rigorous technical evaluation, quality assurance, and strict compliance with international aviation standards—ensuring that only reliable, safety-driven, and world-class systems are deployed across Nigeria’s airspace.

This milestone reflects the strong aviation reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, under his Renewed Hope vision. It also highlights the impactful leadership of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, whose commitment to policy reforms and institutional strengthening continues to drive tangible progress across the sector.
