Dr. Gandou Zakara, Former Secretary General of the Government of Niger, Paid Courtesy Visit to Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), MD/CEO of NAMA, at His Birnin Kebbi Residence
Dr. Gandou Zakara, a respected Nigerien jurist, academic, and senior public administrator, paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, FNSE, FCIA, MCOREN, NPOM (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), at his residence in Birnin Kebbi.
Dr. Zakara, who had earlier served as Secretary General of the Government of Niger and also worked closely with former President Mahamadou Issoufou of the Niger Republic, is well known for his strong background in public administration, constitutional law, and government reforms. Over the years, he has contributed greatly to national development and institutional strengthening both as an administrator and an academic.
During the visit, both leaders had a very warm and fruitful discussion. They spoke about the current political situation in Niger Republic and Nigeria, especially as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 political period. Their discussion centered on peace, stability, good leadership, and the need for unity across the West African region.
Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar expressed deep appreciation for the visit and described it as a moment of respect and brotherhood. He thanked Dr. Zakara sincerely for taking the time to visit him in Birnin Kebbi and for sharing valuable thoughts on governance and cooperation.
