Women Day: Kebbi Coordinator Nigeria for Women Project Rejoices With Kebbi Women

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2026
Here comes another day to celebrate the remarkable achievements, contributions, and excellences of our women across the globe. Women represent the fabric of every liveable and viable society, and their great contributions cannot be overemphasised. It’s not out of reach to eulogise all our women worldwide, especially the amazing women in Kebbi State and Nigeria. They are wonderful, valuable, and will ever be cherished.

This year, 2026 International Women's Day is themed “give to gain”. It upholds the mindset of generosity and collaboration among women. It also promotes the principle of giving rather than only receiving. This year's theme is demanding the importance of inclusive women in the political, economic, and sociocultural movement to achieve sustainable development in our society. Every contribution of our women secures the future of both current and future generations.

We should continue to come together to give platforms to rise and utilise their prowess to cause our society to be modernised, safe, and rewarding for all. Women should be offered to collaborate together and lead towards achieving desired changes in the society. Every educated woman is a gain to our society, and every economically empowered woman is a gain to our society, and that’s why it's important for the society to create a great enabling environment for the rise of our women.

Through the Nigeria For Women Project, I have witnessed our women across communities in Kebbi State collaborating together through Women Affinity Groups, and making significant economic and sociocultural contributions to their local communities. This shows the resilience, capacities, and commitment of women.

I celebrate our amiable governor, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) for prioritising women development and economic empowerment in his renewed hope agenda for the great people of Kebbi. With your commitment to make our women proud and productive in all spheres of life, the future of our state is bright and flourishing.

May Allah bless our women, Kebbi state and Nigeria at large.

Yakubu Mohammed Yauri.
