NAMA MD/CEO Departs for China on Strategic Official Assignment
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, FNSE, FCIA, FNIMECHE, Rgd COREN, NPOM, has departed Nigeria for China on a strategic official assignment aimed at advancing the Agency’s mandate and strengthening international aviation cooperation.
The trip is in furtherance of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly the drive to reposition NAMA to operate at global standards, with strong alignment to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). The engagement is also expected to support the implementation of critical Federal Government aviation projects, enhance technical capacity, and promote the modernization of Nigeria’s airspace management infrastructure.
The assignment underscores the administration’s commitment to improving air navigation safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, while reinforcing Nigeria’s standing within the global aviation community. The MD/CEO is wished a safe journey, productive engagements, and a safe return home upon the successful conclusion of the assignment.
