National Women Group Honors Dan'majen Gwandu

Northern Delta Women, Kebbi Chapter, Honour MD NAMA with Traditional Title ‘Olori Otemuno Ruemu’

The Kebbi State Chapter of the Northern Delta Women Association has conferred a traditional title, ‘Olori Otemuno Ruemu,’ meaning “Leader Who Brings Peace and Unity,” on the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and Founder of the Tinubu–Kauran Gwandu (TKG) Movement for Continuity, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi).

The honour was bestowed in recognition of Engr. Farouk’s exemplary leadership, his contributions to promoting unity across ethnic and regional lines, and his support for initiatives that strengthen peace and coexistence among Nigerians.

During the brief ceremony, Engr. Farouk expressed appreciation to the group for the recognition and commended the peaceful relationship between the people of Kebbi State and those from other parts of the country. He urged Nigerians to continue embracing one another, noting that Kebbi State remains a symbol of harmony and hospitality where all citizens—regardless of tribe, religion, or region—live and work together in peace.

In a gesture of inclusiveness, Engr. Farouk invited the group’s leader to speak in Hausa, encouraging her to share with members from Delta and other states how cordial and welcoming the people of Kebbi are. His remarks underscored the importance of mutual respect and understanding as tools for building a united nation.

The Northern Delta Women, Kebbi Chapter, praised the accommodating spirit of Kebbi residents and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering peace and collaboration. They described their experience in the state as a testament to the unity and tolerance that define Nigeria’s diversity.

The honour further reflects Kebbi State’s growing reputation as a peaceful and open society where citizens from different backgrounds coexist harmoniously, working together for progress and the success of national leadership.
