Chairman, Kebbi State Marketers Association, Pays Courtesy Visit to TKG Founder, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar
The Chairman of the Kebbi State Marketers Association on Saturday led a delegation of market leaders on a courtesy visit to the Founder and Promoter of the Tinubu Kauran Gwandu (TKG) Movement, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu/Gamjin Kabi), at the Movement’s headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
The visit was part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with visionary political and community leaders who are committed to promoting economic empowerment, market development, and inclusive governance in Kebbi State.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Marketers Association commended Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar for his selfless leadership, philanthropy, and unwavering support for traders and small business owners across the state. He described Engr. Farouk as a man of compassion and vision whose commitment to empowering the vulnerable and advancing the welfare of ordinary citizens has earned him great respect within and beyond Kebbi State.
He further noted that Engr. Farouk’s leadership of the Tinubu Kauran Gwandu (TKG) Movement reflects the true spirit of progressive politics, anchored on loyalty, inclusion, and service to humanity. According to him, market leaders across Kebbi State have closely followed the activities of the TKG Movement and have seen in it a platform that supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu)’s developmental vision for the state.
The Marketers’ Chairman also highlighted that the business community in Kebbi State has benefited from several pro-market policies of the state government, especially in improving trade infrastructure and supporting small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs). He assured Engr. Farouk of the Association’s readiness to continue mobilizing support for the APC-led government at all levels and to partner with the TKG Movement in advancing empowerment programs that improve the livelihoods of traders and artisans.
In his response, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, Founder and Promoter of the TKG Movement and Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Marketers Association for the thoughtful visit and words of encouragement. He praised the Association for its pivotal role in sustaining commerce and driving grassroots economic growth in Kebbi State.
Engr. Farouk commended the dedication of traders who, despite economic challenges, continue to support the government and contribute to local development. He emphasized that the prosperity of Kebbi State and Nigeria depends largely on the strength of the business community and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting initiatives that empower traders, create jobs, and strengthen the economy.
He further assured the delegation that the TKG Movement will continue to align with the policies and programs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), which are focused on expanding economic opportunities, improving infrastructure, and enhancing social welfare.
Engr. Farouk urged the Marketers Association to remain steadfast in their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to continue upholding the values of unity, discipline, and mutual respect. He reiterated that his Movement remains open to partnership with credible organizations committed to the progress of Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.
The visit ended with mutual expressions of respect and appreciation, as the Marketers Association pledged continuous collaboration with the TKG Movement in supporting developmental projects and promoting the collective vision of prosperity, inclusiveness, and economic empowerment for the people of Kebbi State.
