THUGGERY: Dan'majen Gwandu Warns Chika Malami
APC and Gov. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) Will Not Be Distracted by Chika Malami’s Desperation
As a concerned and patriotic citizen of Kebbi State, it is important to speak up against the unnecessary distractions being orchestrated by Abubakar Chika Malami, SAN. What we witnessed in recent days was not an act of leadership, but a desperate attempt by someone struggling to remain relevant in the political space. When a man has nothing to lose, he often sets fire to his own house, only to turn around and blame the neighbors for the smoke. This is exactly what we are seeing.
Instead of walking the honorable path of facing his challenges, Chika Malami is still busy creating confusion in order to paint a false picture that he has supporters. But Kebbi people are not deceived. The truth is clear: he is currently facing several cases with the EFCC in respect to how he handled his time in office. Rather than clear his name, he has chosen to divert attention with propaganda, gimmicks, and staged performances. His ambition to become Governor is no longer a secret, but ambition built on falsehood, desperation, and division cannot stand in Kebbi State.
Kebbi people have already made their choice. They are solidly behind Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The mandate given to APC was freely and overwhelmingly given by the people, and it cannot be stolen by propaganda or cheap political drama. Across Kebbi State today, from towns to villages, the story is the same: people are seeing visible development, and they are testifying to a new era that has dawned.
The roads that are being built, the schools that are being rehabilitated, the healthcare projects that are touching the lives of the poor, the empowerment schemes lifting families out of poverty, and the human capital development programs giving hope to the youth — these are the true evidence of leadership. For the first time in many years, Kebbi people can proudly say that they are witnessing gigantic projects and people-centered governance that affect every corner of the state. This is not propaganda, this is real progress.
Against this reality, Chika’s tactics look shallow. His convoy deliberately parking in front of APC headquarters just a few hundred meters from his house was not a coincidence — it was a staged show. He came with the political thugs from Sokoto with the intention of creating negative headlines that could possibly attract international community attention. The aim was to create confusion, provoke APC supporters, and later cry out as a victim to attract international sympathy. But this is the digital era. People see through such tricks immediately. Videos, photos, and eyewitness accounts reveal the truth in real time. The billboards and anything that have to do with the APC along the road were damaged on their way to the State Capital, Birnin Kebbi. No amount of staging can fool the people anymore. It is sad because Kebbi State is not known to political violence or thuggery. This kind of politics is alien to our people and should be resisted by all and sundry.
What is most disappointing is the ingratitude. APC gave Chika Malami everything. It was APC that trusted him with the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, one of the most powerful positions in Nigeria. The same party gave him the platform, the influence, and the national recognition he enjoys today. Yet, instead of showing gratitude and respect, he has turned his back on the very house that sheltered him. He has chosen betrayal over loyalty, blackmail over service, and propaganda over truth.
But Kebbi people are wiser than that. They know who is working for them. They know APC has the mandate. They know Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, is a leader focused on education, development, and human dignity. They know President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is committed to rebuilding Nigeria. This is why Kebbi people remain firm with APC at both state and national levels. Their confidence cannot be shaken by desperate propaganda.
Let the world hear this clearly: APC and Dr. Nasir Idris will not be dragged into baseless distractions. They are far above that. Leadership is not about propaganda, it is about delivering results — and results are what Kebbi people are seeing today.
To Chika, my advice is simple and sincere: stop burning down the house that once sheltered you. Stop creating confusion just to seek sympathy. Respect the will of the people of Kebbi State. Face your challenges with courage, and if you truly love Kebbi, then support the development the people are enjoying today. Politics is not about desperation, it is about service.
Kebbi has moved on. The people have chosen progress over propaganda, service over self-interest, and unity over confusion. They stand firmly with APC, with Governor Nasir Idris, and with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. That is the reality that no political drama can change.
For the umpteen time, let me make it very clear to these failed politicians that INSHAA ALLAH, there is no vacancy in ASO ROCK AND KEBBI STATE HOUSE come 2027.
