Yakubu Muhammad Yauri Represents Kebbi State at Northwest Summit  for Nigeria for Women Project In Katsina State
The North-West Summit on  Nigeria for Women Project (NFWP) was held in Katsina State on July 2-3, 2025.

 The summit aimed to advance the NFWP Scale-Up and institutionalize a future where women in the North-West region are economically empowered, socially secure, and politically visible.
 The NFWP has already shown impressive gains in pilot states, including a 30% increase in household income and over 40% reduction in reliance on informal lending.
32 states have signed on to the NFWP Scale-Up, demonstrating widespread political buy-in and a unified vision for inclusive national development

The project seeks to improve access to credit, markets, and financial literacy for women, addressing the region's high financial exclusion rate.
Speaking at the summit Kebbi State Project Coordinator, Yakubu Muhammad Yauri  (Shettiman Ubandoman Yauri) said Nigeria for women project  (NFWP) aims to place women at the center of sustainable development, promoting economic empowerment, social security, and political visibility.
The project also aims to promotes women's leadership and participation in decision-making processes, fostering a culture of inclusivity and equality.
