Danmajen Gwandu Congratulates Governor Nasir Idris on Prestigious Title of ‘Khadimul Islam’

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar (Danmajen Gwandu / Gamjin Kabi), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), on his recent investiture as Khadimul Islam — a title that translates to "Servant of Islam."

The revered title was officially conferred on Governor Idris during the Muslim Unity Convention held in Birnin Kebbi, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to religious harmony, Islamic values, and inclusive governance.

In a congratulatory statement, Engr. Farouk Umar described the honour as “richly deserved,” emphasizing that it stands as a testament to Governor Idris’s lifelong dedication to public service marked by humility, tolerance, and moral integrity. He remarked that the title is not merely symbolic, but a profound affirmation of the Governor’s sincerity, spiritual consciousness, and steadfast efforts in upholding faith, unity, and development.

He commended Governor Idris for fostering religious cooperation among diverse Islamic sects, including Izala, Tijjaniyya, Qadiriyya, and others, as well as for promoting peaceful coexistence among all religious communities in the state.

Governor Idris has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with compassion and purpose. From the establishment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to his equitable treatment of both Muslims and Christians, his actions speak louder than words.

He further lauded the Governor’s commitment to youth empowerment and poverty alleviation through various employment and skill acquisition initiatives, noting that these reflect a clear understanding that socio-economic progress must go hand-in-hand with spiritual and moral upliftment.

The NAMA boss concluded by praying for continued divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for Governor Idris as he leads Kebbi State with distinction and devotion.

The Muslim Unity Convention, organized by the Kebbi State Ministry of Religious Affairs, served as a platform for unity among Islamic groups and featured vital discussions on responsible leadership and patriotism.
