Kebbi First Lady Zainab, witnesses unveiling of scholarship to 200 recipients under the Renewed Hope Initiative.

 First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has attended the unveiling ceremony of award of  scholarship to 200 recipients. 

The award is under the auspices of AUDA-NEPAD/African School of Economics  Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) scholarships,  hosted by Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. 

The event, held at the Banquet Hall of the State House,  Abuja, highlighted the Tinubu administration's dedication to expanding access to quality education for Nigerian youths through strategic partnerships with both national and international organizations.

This significant initiative underscores the administration's commitment to education as a vital element for national progress.

 The First Lady of Nigeria enumerated the importance of creating equal educational opportunities, especially for the Nigerian girls child, and introduction of innovative solutions such as Alternative High Schools for Girls by offering financial and academic support, designed to empowering students to pursue higher studies. 

Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris accompanied by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary School  Education, Dr Halima Muhammad Bande, expressed  commitment to aligning the policy of Kebbi State Government with such national goals, aimed at equipping students with the necessary educational resources and opportunities for success.

The  200 students, beneficiaries of the scheme of whom five are drawn from Kebbi State, would  commence their academic career at the African School Of Economics, an affiliate of the Prison  University, USA, in various fields of knowledge.
