PROTESTS: Kebbi Police Command Deploys More Than 5,000 Personnel To Maintain Law and Order

The Kebbi State Police Command said it deployed more than 5,000 personnel across flashing points state wide.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani stated this in a press conference organized by the command, today Tuesday 30/07/2024 at Command Headquarters, Birnin Kebbi.

The Commissioner said the command is not against  constitutional right of protest but due process must be complied with accordingly.

According to him  the leaders of the protest must identified themselves in written including the location they want exercise their constitutional right.

He said till today, Tuesday 30/7/2024 no body inform the command of any peaceful protest hence the decision of the command to be on red alert to crush down any person or group of person attempt to cause trouble in the State.

He advised parents to look after their children and also advised all good people of Kebbi State to go into their daily normal activities without fear as the security personnel in the state are battle ready to maintain law and order  in the state.

 In a related development, the state command released total sum of more than N5million to the  next of kin of personnel who lost their lives in the course of duty 

The beneficiaries thank the state commissioner for the kind gesture and pray to Almighty to protect remaining serving  personnel.
