HON. HALIMA HASSAN TUKUR YAURI LAUNCHES WAR AGAINST POVERTY & UNEMPLOYMENT AMONG WOMEN IN KEBBI STATE

The former Two-Times member House of Representatives, representing Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski Federal Consitetuency, Hon. Halima Hassan Tukur Yauri (Jaruman Mai Martaba Sarkin Yauri) launches aggressive war against unemployment among the women folks in Kebbi State.

About 20 marketable different skills were designed for training of women across Kebbi State to meet their potentialities.

Currently, batch one are undergoing training on;

-TAILORING

- FOOT WEAR(SHOE MAKING)

-SNACK

-BEAUTY MAKE UP among others.

Hon. Halima operate two big skills acquisition centers in both Birnin Kebbi and Yauri.

At Birnin Kebbi she carried out her humanitarian services and skills training at Malami Women Support Initiative (MAWOSI) an NGO established by Hon. Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, and appointed her to manage the center as Chief Executive Officer.

In Yauri she maintain a big skills acquisition center in Baha town, currently under construction at finishing stage.

Recalled, during her terms as member Federal House of Representatives, people empowerment were her area of priority.

She facilitated the engagement of more than 100 women and youths into various Ministries, Departments and Agencies. She established and equiped Skills Acquisition Centers in all the 3 local governments she represented, she also engaged more than 400 people into then SURE-P programme among others.

Many people were wonder with Hon. Halima's resolution to continue implementing campaign promises even though she is not contesting in 2023.

"I believe if Hon. Halima is given more opportunity, poverty will be a thing of history in our community" Said Zainab Shehu, one of the students undergoing Tailoring training at MAWOSI Center, Birnin Kebbi.
